Starting from June 1, 2020, driver's licenses are issued with a QR code printed on the back for quick information retrieval when scanned with a smartphone.
Everyone can easily check if a driver's license is genuine or fake by scanning the QR code using their smartphone.
Here are three ways to scan the QR code on a driver's license using a phone:
Method 1: Using the Zalo app
Once you have a driver's license with a QR code, you can use the QR code scanning feature on the Zalo app.
Go to the 'More' section (1) at the bottom of the app. Then, you will see a QR code icon (2). Tap on it and scan the QR code on the driver's license.
After scanning, the app will display information such as the name, date of birth, and license type as shown in the image below.
Method 2: Using the Barcode Viet app
Apart from Zalo, you can also use the Barcode Viet app to scan the QR code on the driver's license.
Method 3: Using the QR Nhanh app
Similar to using the Barcode Viet app, users can easily scan the QR code on the driver's license through the QR Nhanh app.
Simply select the 'Scan' option at the bottom toolbar and position the camera over the QR code on the driver's license. The app will automatically scan and provide the license information quickly.
With these three simple methods, you can quickly retrieve information about a driver's license, whether it is genuine or fake.
When you open the app, you will be directed to the main screen, and all you need to do is tap on the QR code icon below.
Next, the app will open the camera, and you can scan the QR code on the driver's license. After about 2-3 seconds, all the information about the license will be displayed on the screen.
