How many numbers are there in the driver's license?

What is a PET driver's license card?

A PET driver's license card is made from high-quality PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) plastic material, which has high mechanical strength, resistance to tearing and impact, and high resistance to wear and tear. It is an ideal material for many popular card applications such as ATM cards, employee cards, customer cards, VIP cards, etc.

This is the first time that PET plastic cards have been applied to a national-level security identification solution like a driver's license, which has been enthusiastically embraced by users in recent times.

What is the significance of the information on the PET driver's license card?
The PET driver's license card has a 12-digit number.

Is this number random or does it have any meaning?

Let's decode the meaning of this number and some information on the driver's license with ACC GROUP!

Taking the example of the number on my driver's license: 601195002226

These 12 digits are divided into 4 groups of digits, which are not randomly assigned but used to identify the personal information of the driver.

Province/city code on the driver's license
The first yellow group is 60, which represents the province/city where the license was issued, in this case, Binh Thuan. This code is similar to the province/city code on the Citizen Identification Card (CCCD), except that the province code consists of 2 digits, whereas the CCCD has 3 digits.

Gender code on the driver's license
The second green group consists of 1 digit and represents the gender. For individuals born in the 20th century (from 1900 to 1999), the gender code for males is 0 and for females is 1. For individuals born in the 21st century (from 2000 to 2099), the gender code for males is 2 and for females is 3.

Year of admission code on the driver's license
The third blue group consists of two digits and is used to determine the year of admission for the driver. In the case of a combined license, the year of the highest category is considered. In my case, I was admitted on March 17, 2019, so the third group in the number represents the last two digits of the year, which is 19.

Random number sequence on the driver's license
The fourth orange group consists of 7 digits. This is a random number sequence used to differentiate it from other licenses and avoid duplication.
