What is a B2 driver's license?
A B2 driver's license is a legal certificate issued by the Department of Transportation in Vietnam for individuals who participate in traffic and drive cars. The B2 driver's license is only granted to drivers who are 18 years old or older and meet the health requirements. 1. What vehicles can you drive with a B2 license?
The B2 driver's license is provided to individuals who have learned and passed the examination. The license is used for driving family vehicles or vehicles used for transportation business. The types of vehicles allowed to be driven with a B2 license include:
- Cars with 4-9 seats.
- Commercial trucks with a load capacity of under 3.5 tons.
- Tow trucks and trailers with a load capacity of under 3.5 tons.
2. What is the age requirement for learning and taking the B2 driving test?
The B2 driver's license is issued by the Department of Transportation to Vietnamese citizens who are 18 years old or older. After individuals have learned and passed the B2 driving test, they will be granted the B2 driver's license.

3. Health requirements for obtaining a B2 license
Health is a particularly important factor when driving a car. If your health is not ensured, traffic safety will not be guaranteed. Furthermore, people around you who are driving can be affected as well. Therefore, before learning to drive, you must have a health certificate issued within the past 3 months. The following individuals are not allowed to learn and take the B2 driving test:

4. What is the validity period of the B2 license?
The B2 driver's license is issued by the Department of Transportation with a validity period of 10 years. Additionally, the license can be renewed multiple times. However, if the vehicle owner does not renew the driver's license within 1 year after the expiration date, they will have to retake the theory and practical driving tests from the beginning.
5. Can the B2 license be upgraded to another class?
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Transportation, the B2 driver's license can be upgraded to a C or D license if the following conditions are met:
- To upgrade from a B2 license to a C license, you must have at least 3 years of professional experience. Additionally, the safe driving distance must be over 50,000 km in order to upgrade to a C license.
- To upgrade from a B2 license to a D license, you must have at least 5 years of experience, and the safe driving distance must be over 100,000 km.
